These steps are crucial to ensure that everything proceeds correctly and to honor the wishes of the family. In this guide, we will explore some of the key steps that should be taken in the event of a death, including organizing funeral services, notifying the appropriate authorities, and supporting relatives during this difficult time.

Passing at home
Contact the agency at one of the provided contact numbers. The responsible personnel will recommend the steps and procedures that need to be followed.
Notify 127 about the case, and then medical personnel will arrive to carry out the necessary verifications. The 127 personnel will provide you with a certificate, which should be handed over to the family doctor. The doctor will then issue the death certificate. Caution: Do not accept any suggestions from emergency personnel or staff at nursing homes regarding funeral agencies, as it could be costly for you. Instead, directly contact one of the numbers provided by the Alba 2000 agency.
Passing at the hospital
Family members contact the agency at one of the provided contact numbers. Protocol when a person passes away in the hospital: The body remains in the ward for 2 hours and is then transferred to the hospital morgue. After the necessary verifications are completed, the medical personnel issue the death certificate. Family members then contact the agency at one of the provided contact numbers to arrange for the retrieval of the deceased’s body.
Passing in a public place
Notify 127 or 129. Then, contact the agency at the provided contact number.
Passing abroad
We recommend contacting the agency immediately via the mobile number. One of our associates in your area will get in touch with you. Our agency facilitates the organization and execution of the necessary procedures for the repatriation of the body.
*In case of an accident in Italy involving Albanian citizens, Alba 2000, in collaboration with Studio 3A, provides documentation for repatriation and assists the family with reimbursement from the insurance company.
